For your consideration is a vintage pre-world war II Hohner Marine Band harmonica in the key of C. This harmonica was dated using the information provided by patmissin.com and their information relating to vintage Marine Band models through the years. We are able to determine its basic timeframe based on small changes that occurred through time.
The most definitive property is the GESETLICH and GESCHUTZT in the center circle of the lower cover. In all other models before or after the abbreviation of GESETL. and GESCH are used. Additionally, the star is present which dates it prior to the end of the war. Other factors play into it but are numerous.
